Our Journey So Far 1960 First manufacturing unit is set up in Delhi on rent. Production begins with high quality hand painted Gate Valves. 1964 Production of nickel plated bath fittings in Crown, Natraj handle begins, based on a newly developed Full Turn internal cartridge. 1966 Manufacturing of Foot operated Flush valves for Indian Railways. 1970 A new state of the art production unit is setup in Jhilmil Industrial Area. Metro-S begins production in it’s own factory. 1974 Expanding it’s scope of manufacturing, Metro-s introduces a complete range of premium bathroom fittings based on its revolutionary Full Turn internal fitting: the iconic Deluxe handle hits the markets. 1983 Another manufacturing unit is added to cater to the growing demand of Metro-s bath fittings 1991 Using Ceramic Disc Fittings, the company pioneers and begins manufacturing Single Levers and Quarter Turn faucets in a variety of coloured finishes using powder coating technology. 1993 Metro-s add’s bath accessories to it’s manufacturing portfolio. 2002 The brand answers the urge call of consumerism by incorporating a more contemporary design language; an approach that has since become synonymous with the brand’s image. 2010 Metro-s celebrates 50 years of operations. 2014 The company continues to grow as a trusted name in the Indian market with over 250 products in it’s catalogue. 2020 As company celebrates 60 years of operations and as Covid-19 hits the world, new inventions like the foot operated, touch free faucets etc are introduced. 196019641966197019741983199119932002201020142020
